At Mile High Stadium, the Broncos defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime 29-23. Tim Tebow threw for 316 yards on 10 completions to send the Steelers packing for the 2011 playoffs. Both teams racked up over 400 yards in total offense but it was an 80 yard TD pass from Tebow to Thomas that sealed the deal for the Broncos. The way the Broncos scored was a post route into the Steelers defense that had no safeties in the secondary. It was a horrible defensive call by guru Dick Lebeau as he put 9 people in the box with anticipation of a first down run. Instead the Broncos threw on first down for the first time in the game. The next match up will be against the Patriots and former coach Josh McDaniels, who drafted Tebow 2 years ago, in the AFC Division championship game.
